F.A.Q.s

  • Do you prescribe medication?
No, we do not prescribe any medications as we are not a medical provider (i.e. psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners). However. we can refer you to nearby psychiatric services.
  • Can I receive services if I am not in Texas?
Unfortunately no. According to Texas Board regulations, clients must reside or physically be in Texas to receive services. Our therapist is licensed to provide mental health services exclusively to individuals located within the state of Texas.
  • What are your hours?
Our office is open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Please note, our staff will not be able to answer any phone calls or emails after 6pm.
  • Do you offer crisis services?
Unfortunately, we do not offer crisis response services. If you are in crisis, please go to the nearest hospital, or call 911 (emergency line) or 988 (crisis line).
  • How long are therapy sessions?
The length of the therapy sessions depends on the type of therapy, your therapist's specialties, and your needs. However, most individual therapy sessions are 60 minutes long: 50 minutes spent with your therapist and he last 10 minutes of the hour left for your therapist to complete notes and other administrative tasks. The exception is the initial/intake session that is 90 minutes long.
  • Do you offer consultations?
We offer a free 15-minute consultation for prospective guests. The initial consultation serves as a way for guests to meet their therapists and see if there is a potential for a therapeutic relationship. Guests have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss their needs, and get a feel for the therapist's approach before committing to therapy, allowing them to make an informed decision about their mental health and well-being.
  • Are therapy sessions in-person or virtual?
Sessions are conducted 100% virtually to provide accessible and convenient mental health services for our clients. Virtual sessions allow for a greater flexibility in scheduling, eliminate the need for travel, and provide a private and confidential environment for our guests to discuss their concerns. Our licensed therapist is experienced in conducting effective and confidential therapy sessions online, ensuring that clients receive the same level of care and attention as they would in person.
  • This is my first time pursuing therapy. What can I expect?
We understand that starting therapy for the first time can be nerve-wrecking, but knowing what to expect can make it easier. Your first session or "intake session" will be different from future visits. The intake session is a period for you and your therapist to get to know each other, as well as for your therapist to assess your needs, symptoms, and gather information about your history in order to tailor goals for therapy. In future sessions, what you will discuss is up to you and your therapist.
  • How much do therapy sessions cost?
Therapy sessions costs are as follows: 60-minute individual sessions are $125, while 90-minute new client/intake sessions are $150 to account for the extended time. Please contact our office to inquire about sliding-scale options.
  • Is there a fee for being late?
As life continues to life, we understand how things/circumstances outside of our control can impact us and the things we want to accomplish. Guests are allowed a 15-minute grace period before the session is automatically deemed a no-show. If they arrive before the 15-minute grace period ends, the session will continue as scheduled.
  • Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance, as we are a private pay practice. However, we understand the need to offset medical costs, and as such, we can provide an individualized payment plan based off your needs. Our goal is to ensure that our clients receive the best care possible while also addressing their financial considerations.
  • What's your cancellation policy?
In case of no-shows or late cancellations (within 24-hours of your session), guests will be charged the full session cost. We value your time and commitment to therapy as much as we value ours, so we encourage guests to show up for themselves as much as we do for them.
